The Teller
County Clerk is also known as Teller County Clerk & Recorder.
The County Clerks office runs under the following 3 departments: Motor Vehicle
Department, Recording Department, and the Voter Registration & Election Department
The Clerks office is responsible for the recording of documents such as warranty
deeds, deeds of trust, quit claim deeds, death certificates, subdivision plats.
These documents may be viewed in the Cripple Creek and Woodland Park locations
as they might be recorded as public records. The residents of Teller County have
the convenience of handling their transactions by telephone or mail. In addition
the Clerk Office is responsible for issuing Marriage Licenses,
Liquor Licenses, and Dog Licenses to the residents of the County.
Voter Registration Forms and Applications for Absentee Ballots
are available at the Clerks office or at the counties website. Other registration
locations are at the City Clerk's Offices of Cripple Creek, Victor & Woodland
Park. Registration postcards may be picked up at most banks and libraries in
Teller County and mailed to the Teller County Clerk. A written request to the
Teller County Clerk's Office can be submitted for those who want to obtain an
Absentee Ballots. Absentee applications may also be obtained at either the Court
House in Cripple Creek or the Motor Vehicle Office in Woodland Park.
